Meetings play a large part in today’s workplaces, serving a variety of purposes. Meeting management, therefore, is a vital skill for every executive and expert participation is equally important for an aspiring manager. This is particularly the case in international and intercultural settings. Achieving mutually satisfying results in intercultural meetings requires competence at several levels. You will begin with self-awareness, increase your awareness of others and develop the ability to engage in cultural dialogue. You will increase your ability to be understood and to understand the diverse people in your meetings. You will be given opportunities to listen, observe, and adept to project teamwork as well as the tools to deal with stress in international meetings. You will share your skills and experience with the other participants. If necessary, we will also cover basic procedures like writing the agenda and the minutes, practise skills like planning and facilitating and become familiar with methods like the Meta plan. The aim of the workshop is to foster effectiveness, increase personal skills and make intercultural and international meetings interesting and rewarding for all concerned. |
